At the 2025 Haodaifu Summit, Ant Group and Haodaifu Online jointly announced that they would increase investment in technology research and development and product innovation, leveraging their platform's connectivity capabilities to provide comprehensive services for doctors and more convenient, efficient medical services for patients. This summit marks the first public appearance of both parties after the completion of the acquisition.
At the summit, the 2024 Haodaifu List and the "AI Assistant" to assist doctors in their work were also released.
According to the details of the collaboration, both parties will jointly promote "AI + healthcare" innovation to serve users, doctors, and hospitals. The summit also unveiled the "AI Assistant," which assists doctors with health education and medical record management. The health education tool simulates the diagnostic approach of doctors to assist in health education, while the medical record management tool, utilizing large models and multimodal technology, enables functions like photographing medical records, voice-assisted record searching, and categorized management. The "AI Assistant" has already served nearly a thousand doctors in its first batch.
Wang Hang, the founder of Haodaifu Online, stated that the partnership with Ant Group is a two-way effort, and in the future, Haodaifu Online will focus on developing the "AI Super Doctor Assistant" to help 280,000 doctors with clinical work.
It is understood that in 2014, the first online appointment payment was completed via Alipay. In 2019, Alipay, as a member of the medical insurance electronic certificate standard group, participated in the standard-building process and became the first platform to release the medical insurance code. Currently, over 800 million people use Alipay to book medical appointments, purchase medications, and access medical insurance services. Over 3,600 hospitals offer more than 20,000 medical and health services on Alipay.
Han Xinyi, president of Ant Group, stated: "The shared mission and vision have brought Ant Group and Haodaifu together. We will work together to bring more small but beautiful changes to healthcare for Chinese people, providing greater customer value for users, doctors, and medical institutions."
Regarding the "marriage" of the two companies, industry insiders have previously said that Ant Group's massive traffic pool and solid platform foundation complement Haodaifu Online's network of tens of thousands of experienced and active doctors. This allows Ant Group to leverage Haodaifu Online's expertise to deepen its strategic presence in the healthcare market and explore more diversified business models for long-term growth. Furthermore, this integration will help Haodaifu Online effectively address its unclear profit model challenge and accelerate its commercialization transformation, creating a win-win situation.
It is worth mentioning that in July last year, at the "Trustworthy Large Model Forum" during the 2024 World Artificial Intelligence Conference, Alipay unveiled the latest progress in its AI technology in healthcare, releasing a multimodal medical large model and several new digital solutions, including the Trusted Healthcare Integrated Machine and Trusted Cloud.
At that time, Alipay also partnered with 20 institutions, including the People's Medical Publishing House, Peking University Health Science Center, and the Zhejiang Provincial Health Commission, to jointly initiate an AI healthcare co-construction program to explore AI technology foundations and innovative applications in healthcare services.
Haodaifu Online, founded in 2006, is one of the pioneers of internet healthcare services. Currently, Haodaifu Online includes information on nearly 940,000 doctors from over 10,000 legitimate hospitals in China. Among them, 280,000 doctors are registered on the platform, providing online medical services directly to patients, with over 100 million patients served.
